CST438- Week 2 Learning Journal
CST438 Sami Hobson 11/05/2026 Week 2 Learning Journal Prior to this week I had some React experience, but I had not spent much time thinking about how React's different features and components could be useful when building an application. Going through Lab 3 helped me understand how React manages an application using components, state variables, and routing to make an application interactive. I learned more about how the frontend and backend communicate when making updates to customers. I think one of the strengths of React is how it enables developers to break a complex project into components which can be refactored for reusability, while one of the weaknesses is that it can be confusing when you are juggling a lot of components at once and trying to keep your state objects in sync between them.
